Sydney
I've been here for 7 months and I've had lots of experience in Sydney.. Now I'm trying to explain about general living in this city. I came from Istanbul and my first thought was that Sydney was much smaller than Istanbul. It was summer time when I came here and the weather was so good. In summer you can see short periods of rain every day. But rain is sometimes good for getting rid of humidity. Darling Harbour and the Opera House are pretty places in Sydney but I think thats all. I tried to find some historical places but this city is not like European cities. You can't feel history when you are walking on the streets.Traffic is on the opposite side and I hate this, but I am getting the feel of Australian roads. Life is expensive but you can find well paid jobs.Rental prices are the most expensive I've ever seen.Consumer prices are more expensive than Europe and the USA.In my opinion, Australia is the most peaceful country after Canada but far away for every where so it's so isolated. People go to bed before midnight and they wake up early because you can't do anything in Sydney after 5 pm. Lots of shops and markets close before 6 pm. If you like a quiet life style you should try Australia.. I will visit other cities for my personal experience.Nex time I will write about Perth which is the capital city of Western Australia..
